--[1.1 - Word from the Editor]-----------------------
Well the Storyline is over, and the Epilogue has been announced! I have been waiting to see if any more Ahrimane decks got posted up as winners, hence the delay on this newsletter. Yet we still await the winners of some tournaments - so if you have results that need posting then do it! So far there are two ranking Ahrimane decks and these are presented here for your pleasure, we also have a third deck which did well until the corruption of Nergal took over. On the whole they revolve around the wall concept, but certainly work different angles of it. Also this is my first post using Google Groups, so if it goes wrong I blame that - I have to sort out a server problem to use Outlook...

Next issue will return to its usual format, with Crypt and Library card foci, and a deck or two. Next issue will look at The Siamese, Approximation of Loyalty and Squirrel Balance, all of which should work together in the deck. Also there might be some more details of Nights of Reckoning, or the Design-A-Card poll, both of which are coming in the near future.

Axu wrote the following about his deck:
One of the Undue Influences should be an Anarch Railroad, but this is the version I played at the Return of Nergal in Turku. It's a rather simple deck: some intercept, some stealth, a little bleed power and both offensive and defensive combat. It works best if you can build up in the beginning, keep the table balanced and finally (hopefully) sweep with bleed and revolts.

An Ahrimane Wall Rush deck, it was winner in Bath in the United Kingdom, designed by Bunter. Now I know I am the Prince of Bath, and I was this decks prey but I didn't let it win - a turn of Fame dunking when I was out of intercept and maneuvers meant the end for Menele and friends.

Ahrimane Long Range deck,this was the top seed in Pordenone Italy, designed by Christian Scopelliti. However Christian chose Nergal in the Final, and went on to win - so close, yet so far.

Again I haven't got any comments from Christian, perhaps he will add some here on the Newsgroup?
Well there is some variety between these decks, but they do work around similar principles - probably due to the limited crypt spread. It is interesting to see the Anarch version, as that is not something I have tried yet, other things that are interesting are the one-off Master cards such as Smiling Jack or Anarch Troublemaker. We will have to see what impact the new Legacies cards have on future Ahrimane decks; certainly the increased crypt will cause some variation.

Well another Storyline done, and once again it was a fun event. Will have to see what the next event will be as it looks like the World is going to end again, this time as Nergal reshapes it in his image! It is a shame the Ahrimanes didn't do any better, but if I keep writing these newsletters then perhaps next time?
